Strategic Plan
For more than 25 years, Invest in Children has partnered with nonprofits, foundations and the private sector to fund programs and services that support Cuyahoga County families with children younger than 6.
We work together because young children and families face many complex challenges, and in order to provide realistic and actionable solutions, we must draw on our collective expertise; listen to each other’s varied perspectives; and align our missions and work.
Invest in Children’s 2024-2027 Strategic Plan
In May 2023, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared an end to COVID-19 as a global health emergency, and families and educators alike realized the early childhood landscape had changed: Childhood behavioral challenges were more prevalent and acute; early mental health issues were more significant; and workforce shortages and rising prices created new and emerging areas of need.
This shift prompted Invest in Children to reflect on how it could best serve children, families and the early childhood system. In the months that followed the WHO declaration, Invest in Children listened to more than 75 trusted and respected partners, parents, caregivers, and early childhood professionals. Their stories, insights, and experiences informed the Invest in Children’s 2024 to 2027 Strategic Plan.
