
Through individual sessions with the child and parent, along with joint parent-child sessions, this therapy helps address the biopsychosocial needs of children with post-traumatic stress disorder or other problems related to traumatic life experiences. The therapy lasts for 12-20 sessions.
Age Range: 5-17
Eligibility
Children may be eligible if:
- They have a history and symptoms of trauma exposure.
Children may not be eligible if:
- The presenting problem is not trauma related.
- They are actively suicidal or abusing substances.
- Their living situation is unsafe or unstable.
- They still reside with the perpetrator of the abuse or trauma.
